Hi, how are ya

In honor of being a newbie to this, I thought I should probably share a little bit about myself. I'm a twenty-something new mom,and engaged to a great man who works his butt off so I can stay home with our little nugget. After five years of cohabitation we have FINALLY started putting pictures on our walls and it really adds a homey feel to our house.
I love to read, especially books that you can't put down and totally suck you in. I just finished reading the first two books in The Passage Trilogy and I honestly was at a loss when I found out the third one doesn't come out until next year. I have to wait a whole year to find out what happens next? Unfair. Although I own a Nook and really enjoy it, I prefer buying actual books. There is just something about holding a book and actually turning the pages. And yes, I am one of those people who will fold the corner of the page to mark my spot. I like when books look worn with use.  My goal is to someday have a library in our house and instill in our son that although technology is convenient, sometimes the real thing is better.
Next up: Music. I love music. I basically have a soundtrack to my life. Take, for example, Citizen Cope. That is my senior year of high school. I had heard one of his songs on One Tree Hill and knew immediately I had to buy the CD (that's right, I bought a CD, no downloading). A friend heard it in my car, wanted a copy and the next thing I know everyone was talking about how awesome his music is. I'm not trying to toot my own horn or anything, but I do have pretty good taste, and when I say "everyone" I grew up in a pretty small town, so let that add some perspective.
I'm a Montana girl and I love where I live. Admittedly, I am not a huge fan of the cold and snow, but there is something magical about the world being covered in white perfection. Even if that white coating doesn't stay flawless, in the moments when the flakes are falling and everything is covered, there's a calming stillness to it all and I love it. I enjoy camping and hiking and basically just being outside as much as possible in the summer. With that in mind, I'm a firm believer in sunscreen. Wear it.
I would go on, but the demands of my little love are calling. So to sum the rest of me up quickly: I need my one cup of coffee every morning, I think eating breakfast everyday is a necessity, I like quiet moments (those don't happen often anymore), family is the most important thing to me, there's nothing a hot bubble bath and wine can't solve, and laughter really is the best medicine.
