Most of the time I only notice Brody's growth. Today, after his nap I placed him on top of the changing table and after discarding his jammies and diaper I was overcome…He's SO small! Just for a minute I could still see my baby, fresh home from the hospital, little arms and legs sprawled out in all directions. It took my breath away. I kept staring at him and kept thinking " he's really not THAT big, he's still my baby".
Halfway through our day I caught him feeding Remi one piece of food at a time until it was gone. Remi, of course, was a willing participant during this exchange. The bowl quickly empty, Brody picked it up and took it over to the cupboard where we keep Remi's food. Just like that my baby was back to being a quickly growing boy.
I kept trying to pull the image from the morning back into my mind. Every time I looked at Brody, I was trying to recall how he looked last year at this time when he was just 3 months old.

And now, at 15 months, my baby is only getting more and more handsome! He's so silly and full of life. Yes, I said baby. He will always ALWAYS be my baby.
