Refresher

I've read a lot of articles and posts lately about just being. Living in the moment, being kind, humble. Appreciating what we DO have as opposed to dwelling on what we do not. Being honest, loving. The basics really. Strip away all the complications; the negative projections, self doubt. It's refreshing.

It reminds me of Brody. His innocence.  His sense of wonder at the world around him. We've all read it before  - look at the world through the eyes of a child - emulate their wonderment.  Appreciate small moments. Examine a leaf with childlike amazement.  It seems such an easy mantra to adopt yet it's like we thrive off the complications of life as opposed to the simplicity of basic emotion.  And then we stumble upon an article and grab on to this tidbit like it's a long kept secret that we've been dying to uncover. Silly us. It's been there all along. Right in front of us. The ordinary, seen through the eyes of a child is extraordinary.
