vent sesh

Uuuuhhhh I need to do some serious venting right now.  Moms, Dads, and basically anyone who volunteers to take a child to the park Please for the love of God put your cell phones down! You SHOULD be there to spend time with the child/children, to enjoy being outside and to be active! Not to gossip, not to make call backs on missed calls, and not to dink around online. Seriously what do you think your child is thinking? It's one thing to have your phone out to take pictures, but really, a thirty minute conversation while you trail your child from one toy to the next? Maybe you should work on prioritizing. Your child looked at your multiple times, but apparently your conversation was more important than seeing that smile, searching for praise. Shame on you. I want to punch you.
Secondly, smoke your cigarettes somewhere else!!!! What the hell is wrong with you?!? I don't want to breathe in your smoke, I certainly don't want my child to have to breathe it in, and your poor innocent child definitely doesn't need to be breathing it. Because you are inconsiderate, we had to cut our park trip short. Let's be honest here, we ALL know they are bad, and you are totally entitled to continue smoking, despite this knowledge,  but practice a little bit of common courtesy and get the hell away from the ONE area where kids swarm to play. IDIOT. I want to punch you too.
I'm at a serious crossroad here with the general populous. I probably want to punch over 75% of you. And before anyone gets offended, I am not claiming to be perfect, or free of flaws. I am not the first person to vent about this stuff, and I guarantee I will not be the last, and that makes me sad. Can we just step it up people? Let's put a little belief back into the goodness of humanity because right now, I'm not feeling it and it makes me sad. It makes me sad because I know our children deserve better than this. End Vent.
